Rachel and Tim’s Star Wars Themed Wedding

Filed in Wedding — September 4, 2015

Rev. Amy officiated the wedding for Rachel and Tim at Janesville Country Club this past summer.  The bride and I have a mutual friend, Jane, so I was disappointed that I wasn’t available to officiate Rachel’s wedding and was even more disappointed when I saw the photos taken by Je t’aime Photography by Katie J. Fedorski.  This wedding looked like a blast.  I don’t typically post photos from the reception but their Star Wars themed reception looked like so much fun that I couldn’t resist.

What does Koru mean?

KORU (kor-roo) is the Maori word for “loop.” For the indigenous people of New Zealand, the koru spiral represents a fern frond beginning to unfurl. The koru symbol embodies new beginnings, a new phase of life, renewal, hope for the future, positive change, personal growth, working in harmony, bringing people together, and being mindful of the good things in life.

At Koru Ceremony, we strive to personify these ideals and celebrate a new beginning through ceremony and ritual.
