Katie and Luke’s UW Campus Wedding

Filed in Wedding — September 4, 2015

There are some couples you feel a great fondness for while working with them in preparation for their wedding.  So I wasn’t surprised when I choked up for a moment during Katie and Luke’s ceremony.  They are the nicest and most beautiful couple and it was a great joy to officiate their wedding.

Enjoy a few of the outstanding photos taken by Santiago Murillo Photography of Katie and Luke’s first look at Porters Boathouse and Olbrich Gardens, their ceremony at Pres House on the Library Mall and reception at the Memorial Union at the University of Wisconsin.

What does Koru mean?

KORU (kor-roo) is the Maori word for “loop.” For the indigenous people of New Zealand, the koru spiral represents a fern frond beginning to unfurl. The koru symbol embodies new beginnings, a new phase of life, renewal, hope for the future, positive change, personal growth, working in harmony, bringing people together, and being mindful of the good things in life.

At Koru Ceremony, we strive to personify these ideals and celebrate a new beginning through ceremony and ritual.
