Wendy and Josh’s Mansion Hill Wedding

Filed in Wedding — April 14, 2017

I love working with Jennifer Andersen at Angelic Angles Photography and I LOVE her photo from Wendy and Josh’s wedding at Mansion Hill Inn.  The quote she wrote on Facebook was perfect for this amazing couple: “When I saw you I fell in love, and you smiled because you knew.”

It was so much fun to marry Josh and Wendy and to include their three wonderful kids in the ceremony using the sand ceremony to symbolize the blending together of these two families.

What does Koru mean?

KORU (kor-roo) is the Maori word for “loop.” For the indigenous people of New Zealand, the koru spiral represents a fern frond beginning to unfurl. The koru symbol embodies new beginnings, a new phase of life, renewal, hope for the future, positive change, personal growth, working in harmony, bringing people together, and being mindful of the good things in life.

At Koru Ceremony, we strive to personify these ideals and celebrate a new beginning through ceremony and ritual.
