Taylor and Jeff 9/28/19

Filed in Wedding — October 1, 2019

On September 28, 2019, I had the privilege to officiate Taylor and Jeff’s wedding.  It was truly a joyful event for all present.  The rain stopped, the clouds parted and the sun shined upon this beautiful couple as they stood before their family and friends and declared their love and faithfulness to each other.  To add to this special day, the Father of the Bride is a dear friend of mine.  And so, from my heart to theirs, I send Jeff and Taylor wishes of a full life together filled with health and happiness.

What does Koru mean?

KORU (kor-roo) is the Maori word for “loop.” For the indigenous people of New Zealand, the koru spiral represents a fern frond beginning to unfurl. The koru symbol embodies new beginnings, a new phase of life, renewal, hope for the future, positive change, personal growth, working in harmony, bringing people together, and being mindful of the good things in life.

At Koru Ceremony, we strive to personify these ideals and celebrate a new beginning through ceremony and ritual.
