Wow! Amy, Sarah and I were surprised and honored to have Koru Ceremony WIN, for the second year in a row, the Wisconsin Bride Magazine’s “2019 Best Officiant Award.” I can’t tell you how privileged I feel to be working with these two amazing women. Ditto to Sarah’s recent post, “Love these ladies so much and I […]

Yesterday’s wedding at the Orpheum was magical. Becky and Julien’s ceremony included readings in both English and French. A selection from “Le Petit Prince” was the perfect reading for this French teacher and native Frenchman. Additionally, we also included their beautiful love story during the Charge to the Couple and a Celtic handfasting as a nod to […]

Before we get to far into the 2019 wedding season, I wanted to share with you some of the happy couples Koru Ceremony married in 2018. What does Koru mean?

KORU (kor-roo) is the Maori word for “loop.” For the indigenous people of New Zealand, the koru spiral represents a fern frond beginning to unfurl. The koru symbol embodies new beginnings, a new phase of life, renewal, hope for the future, positive change, personal growth, working in harmony, bringing people together, and being mindful of the good things in life.

At Koru Ceremony, we strive to personify these ideals and celebrate a new beginning through ceremony and ritual.
