Happy Anniversary

Filed in Anniversary, Review, Wedding — August 5, 2021

I have officiated hundreds of weddings, and every single one is special. It is always an honor and a joy to be present on one of the biggest days of a couple’s life. But over the years, some couples’ weddings stand out in your mind as some of your favorites. Amanda and Andy’s is one of those. Happy 4th wedding anniversary, Amanda and Andy!

Update:
I found the review Amanda wrote after the wedding. Only one more year to go before you open the box your dad made and have the opportunity to read the love letters you wrote to each other on your wedding day.

“Pat Werk of Koru Ceremony did a fantastic job for our ceremony! We could not have asked for an easier and more relaxing planning process leading up to the wedding. The entire ceremony was catered to us as a couple and we received an overwhelming amount of compliments from guests saying that the ceremony was their favorite part of our big day! She traveled out of her way to be a part of our wedding weekend and happily attended our rehearsal and reception to get to know us better as a couple. Last-minute the afternoon of the wedding, we asked Pat to add in a part to our ceremony for a wine box that my dad made for our 5th anniversary. She so eloquently came up with a quick add-in to chat about the importance of the box and the notes we each wrote in the box for each other to read in 5 years. I can’t recommend Pat enough! Thanks, Pat, for making our ceremony so memorable and stress-free!”

What does Koru mean?

KORU (kor-roo) is the Maori word for “loop.” For the indigenous people of New Zealand, the koru spiral represents a fern frond beginning to unfurl. The koru symbol embodies new beginnings, a new phase of life, renewal, hope for the future, positive change, personal growth, working in harmony, bringing people together, and being mindful of the good things in life.

At Koru Ceremony, we strive to personify these ideals and celebrate a new beginning through ceremony and ritual.
