A Small Wedding Can Create Unexpected Magic.
One of our favorite elopement memories took place at the Wisconsin State Capitol. We had the honor of officiating a wedding for a couple who chose the Capitol as their special setting. The beautiful rotunda made a stunning backdrop. After the ceremony, something unexpected happened. A group of young legislators, who had watched from a distance, began clapping and cheering wildly for the couple. In that moment, a private wedding turned into a joyful celebration shared with complete strangers. It was a moment we will never forget.
That moment reminded us that meaningful ceremonies can touch the hearts of people far beyond those standing at the altar. Sometimes, the most memorable moments appear when you least expect them.
