“Pat Werk is an amazing and beautiful person. She made the process so easy, fun, and enjoyable. She had a plethora as very helpful resources for us to choose music, readings, ceremony styles, prayers and much more. She even helped us combine several verses to create the perfect match for us. We felt she really cared for us and for our day, and for a wonderful future. She added some very special touches as well. We would highly recommend her. We are blessed to have met Pat. ”

What does Koru mean?

KORU (kor-roo) is the Maori word for “loop.” For the indigenous people of New Zealand, the koru spiral represents a fern frond beginning to unfurl. The koru symbol embodies new beginnings, a new phase of life, renewal, hope for the future, positive change, personal growth, working in harmony, bringing people together, and being mindful of the good things in life.

At Koru Ceremony, we strive to personify these ideals and celebrate a new beginning through ceremony and ritual.
