Carrie and Mike’s Wedding

Filed in Wedding — June 26, 2014

One of my favorite venues for officiating a wedding is at a farm or barn.  Carrie and Mike Williams wedding on May 10 at the O’Brien Barn was perfect.  High fives to Reilly Images that captured their day and this amazing couple that got married on such a beautiful day.  Mike and Carrie have a remarkable love story of rediscovered love when they went through a very difficult time as a family.

The O’Brien Barn was the perfect location for their Wisconsin wedding, full of charm that was designed Andrea and her team from Cherry Blossom Events, who helped Carrie and Mike pull off their dream wedding.  What could be more Wisconsin than cows, cheese, s’mores around a bon fire and sparklers on a warm spring evening?  If you would like to see more photos from this wedding check out Reilly Images blog post.

What does Koru mean?

KORU (kor-roo) is the Maori word for “loop.” For the indigenous people of New Zealand, the koru spiral represents a fern frond beginning to unfurl. The koru symbol embodies new beginnings, a new phase of life, renewal, hope for the future, positive change, personal growth, working in harmony, bringing people together, and being mindful of the good things in life.

At Koru Ceremony, we strive to personify these ideals and celebrate a new beginning through ceremony and ritual.
